URGENT REQUEST
The 2026 Minnesota Legislative Session is nearing its end, and key funding decisions that may directly affect you are about to be finalized. As a resident of the City of Minnetonka Beach, your support for the City’s request for $9.7 million from the
Governor’s $907 million Capital Budget and Infrastructure Bonding Bill is
extremely important. This funding would support future essential infrastructure
projects. Mayor Pagano has been advised that resident letters of support carry
significant weight in funding award decisions, and personalized stories of how
this funding award would impact you and your family have the most impact.
Click on the link below "Request for Resident Letters to State Legislators for 2026 Funding" for more detail of the request, and a letter template with information about current rates residents are paying for the water tower, water treatment plant, and wells; and information about critical future projects that the City is requesting funding for. Include any of these details if they help you tell your story to your representatives.
There is a quick turnaround on these resident letters. They are due to the City end of day on Tuesday, April 28th. You can email them or drop them off at City Hall either inside, in the mail slot in the post office, or in the bin next to the front door of City Hall.
